Jean M. Kershner, 90, formerly of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli, where she resided. She was the wife of Curtis L. Kershner, who died January 13, 2006.
Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Arlan L. and Mary J. (Kalbach) Miller. Jean worked at the Globe and Cinderella Knitting Mills. She also worked at Horn's Diner and cleaned houses. Jean was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. She was also a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens and the Perry Game Association. Jean enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, and going to the mountains; and was an Elvis fan.
Jean is survived by her sister: Gloria A. (Miller) Machemer, widow of Robert, Maidencreek Twp.; sister-in-law: Faye E. (Herber) Miller, Mohrsville; several nieces and nephews; and her companion: Elmer M. Adams. She was predeceased by her siblings: Arlan L. Miller, Jr., Nancy L. Miller; and Larry D. Miller.
