Jean M. Bowers, 83, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. She was the wife of George H. Bowers, who died December 5, 2023.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Betty (Geiger) Berkheiser. Jean attended the former Bethany United Methodist Church, Hamburg. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Union Fire Company No.1, Hamburg. Jean enjoyed baking and was featured in the newspaper in 1972 for her bread making. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening; but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

Our mom/nanny will be remembered for her fierce courage and strength toward everything thrown at her. She loved unconditionally and was immensely generous to all who needed. Over the years, she developed a "take no shit" attitude which we all loved about her. Jean was definitely the glue that held our family together. We will all miss her more than words can express.

Jean is survived by two daughters: Tina M. Bowers, Waynesboro; and Tracey L. (Bowers) Yeshulas, wife of Christopher P. Yeshulas, Bern Twp.; five grandchildren: Aspen Lemus (Erik); Tawnya Rush (Ryan); Dr. Stormie Gough (Taran); Trevor Bowers; and Christopher G. Yeshulas (Tirzah); and three great-granddaughters: Catalina Rose and Layla Lily Lemus; and Luci Maeve Gough. She is also survived by her uncle: John "Jack" Geiger, Fleetwood; and sister-in-law: Marlene Bowers, Hamburg. She will be missed by her beloved dog Chloe. Jean was predeceased by a son: Timothy C. Bowers, died March 10, 2019; and a sister: Nancy Reedy.

Jean's wish was that there not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or American Heart Association.
