Jay H. Shears, 69, formerly of Strausstown, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Hobart and Jeannette (Dundore) Shears. He was a graduate of Penn-Bernville High School. Jay was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving is a brother: Ted J. Shears, Sarasota, Florida; and a sister: Christina M. McNamara, Allentown; and their families. There will not be any services.
