Jason A. Rutt, 45, of Whitehall Twp., passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was the husband of Katie J. (Raschke) Rutt. They were married May 7, 2005 and celebrated 18 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late James K. and Irene T. (Fargus) Rutt. He was a lifelong member of Zion's Church, Windsor Twp., and also faithfully and actively attended Faith Church, Allentown. He graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1996, and later received a computerized accounting degree from Lincoln Technical. He was currently employed as an accountant at Cedar Brook Nursing Home; and previously worked for Penn Med, Allentown for 15 years before that establishment was sold. Jason enjoyed sports, especially baseball and soccer, both of which he enjoyed coaching and playing. He enjoyed movies, disc golf, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Jason was a very social person. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife Katie are two sons: Zechariah J. Rutt; and Asher A.J. Rutt, both at home; a sister: Emily A. (Rutt) Adams, wife of Kenneth B., Leesport; three half brothers: James Rutt, Jr., Lynn Rutt, and Carl Kauffman; and a half sister: Phleane (Kauffman) Kissling. He is also survived by his father in law: Mark L. Raschke, Pine Grove; his mother in law: Cathy M. (Motter) Raschke, York; and his best friend: Marco Nieves, Allentown.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:30 am from Zion's Church, 770 Zion Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the church.
