Janice L. Hoffert, 79, of Hamburg, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She was the wife of Lee H. Hoffert. They were married in 1962 and celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Lascomb) Beissel. She worked at the Crown Knitting Mill for 29 years as a supervisor and machine operator; and later worked the in the housekeeping department at Reading Hospital's Doctor's Offices until retirement. More recently, she worked at Microtel, Tilden Twp., assisting with the breakfast; and Weis Markets, Hamburg in the produce area. She attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Janice was a huge Eagles fan, and Yankees fan, and enjoyed sports in general. She also loved to cook.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: Scott A. Hoffert, husband of Tina L. (Good), Greenwich Twp., and Timothy M. Hoffert, Florida; a daughter: Christie M. (Reber) Stoudt, York County; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: William Beissel, Jr., Centre Twp. She was predeceased by two grandchildren: Erica and Corey Hoffert; and her brothers and sisters.
