Janet E. Kleffel, 82, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 in her residence. She was the wife of Frederick C. Kleffel, Sr., who died April 23, 2005.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Leon Miller, Sr. and Florence E. "Babe" (Jacobs) Miller. Janet was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She worked at JCPenney, until her retirement. Janet was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport, where she was president of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). She was a Cub Scout den mother; and was a former active member at the Reading Liederkranz. Janet enjoyed bingo, bowling, quilting, and traveling, especially to Tennessee. She was an active volunteer for her grandson's memorial foundation.

Janet is survived by her two sons: Frederick C. Kleffel, Jr., companion of Loretta Correll, Ontelaunee Twp.; and Bradley A. Kleffel, husband of Nicoleen (Herman) Kleffel, Centre Twp.; and one granddaughter: Brynley M. Kleffel. She was predeceased by her grandson: Conner A. Kleffel; and one brother: Leon Miller, Jr.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
