Brobst
October 7, 1934 – January 10, 2025
Jane A. Brobst, 90, formerly of Tilden Twp., passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late Lester W. Brobst, died December 17, 2018.
Born in West Leesport, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Mary E. (Bubbenmoyer) Stitzel. He graduated from Perry High School in 1952. Jane was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. She worked 25 years as a factory worker, working for Burkey Knitting Mill, Talbot, and last worked for Wright's Knitting Mill, Hamburg, retiring in 1996. She was a former 4H leader, a member of St. Michael's Church Women's Guild, choir member, and a former superintendent of the Sunday school. She enjoyed baking, NASCAR, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Jane loved her family and will be remembered by many as a good friend.
She is survived by four sons: Keith L. Brobst, Hamburg, Glenn N. husband of Dorothy (Hoffman) Brobst, Hamburg, Barry W. husband of Candace L. (Schappell) Brobst, Center Valley, and Bruce D. husband of Mary E. (Richards) Brobst, Manheim; a daughter: Susan J. (Brobst) wife of Sean P. Hoster, Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren: Aubrey, Kaitlin, Jacey, Kyle, Ryan, Matthew, Kelsey, Samantha, Kayla, and Emma; and eight great-grandchildren: Cole, Caiden, Carson, Wesley, Emerson, Teddy, Remy, and Fern. She was predeceased by a brother: P. William Stitzel, and a sister: Marie E. Stitzel.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 12:30 pm from St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held from 11:00 to 12:15 in the church. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements.
