James R. Stubblebine, Jr., "Sam", 39, of Reading, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Reading, he was the son of James R. Stubblebine, Sr., Douglassville; and Mary (Colamarino) Stubblebine, Boyertown. He was a 1989 graduate of Reading High School. James was superintendent of Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, where he worked for twenty-two years. He loved fantasy football and NASCAR.
James is also survived by his daughter: Lea M. Stubblebine, a student at West Chester University; brother: Jody L. Stubblebine, Leesport; step-mother: Ruthie B. (Long) Stubblebine, Douglassville; Lea's mother: Dorothy J. (Kohl) Stubblebine, Reading; his companion: Monique F. Piper, Roaring Spring, PA; nephew: Zachary A. Stubblebine; maternal grandmother: Kathleen V. (Wessner) Miller, Hamburg; and maternal grandfather: Angelo Colamarino, Bristol.
A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 12:30 to 2:00 pm in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). A time for sharing remembrances of James will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
