James T. Pilkerton, Jr., "Poncho" 88, of Shartlesville, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in his residence. He was the husband of Betty J. (Wilson) Pilkerton. Betty passed away one day after James on February 13, 2025.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James T. Pilkerton, Sr., and Catherine A. Pilkerton. He graduated from high school in Baltimore in 1954. James worked as an electrician; and a member of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool and shooting darts. He enjoyed boating, and deep sea fishing. He could also be found with a word search puzzle and was very good at making meatloaf.

He is survived by two daughters: Cheri L. (Pilkerton) Trescott, wife of Michael L., Shartlesville, and Nicole M. (Pilkerton) Bailey, wife of David, Pine Bluff, NC; two grandchildren: Brandon Higgs, and Ashley Fitz; and two great-grandchildren: Brooke Higgs, and Abigail Petrofske.
