James M. Hopkins, 90, of Hamburg, and formerly of York, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Berks Heim. He was the husband of Arlene M. (Wealand) Hopkins. They were married March 12, 1999, and celebrated 16 years of marriage.

Born in Quarryville, Lancaster Co., he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Moore) Hopkins. He was a US Army veteran. He was employed as a self-employed truck driver, and later worked as a truck driver for UPS until his retirement in 1999. James enjoyed gun ranges, reloading bullets, and he was quite the marksman.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: James M. Hopkins, Jr.; and a daughter: Holly (Hopkins) Humus; and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-daughters: Carol and Gail. He was predeceased by a bother: William, and a sister: Jayne.
