James A. Fidler, 54, of Upper Bern Twp., died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. He was the husband of Sandra M. (Jones) Fidler. They were married on June 7, 2008 in Victory Lane at Pocono Raceway.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of Lewis Fidler, Schuylkill Haven; and the late Phyllis (Aulenbach) Fidler. He was a 1974 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. James first worked for Rockwell International, Reading; and then for Tamaqua Cable Products, last working ten years ago. James was an avid hunter and fisherman and car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving in addition to his wife and father is one son: James L. Fidler, Schuylkill Haven; two daughters: Jody L. (Fidler) Lasko, Hamburg; and Chloe L. Fidler, Orwigsburg; and two grandsons: Brody and Jacob. There is one sister: Sally (Fidler) Magalengo, Deer Lake.
Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Sunday 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
