Irene D. Frederick, 94, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Laurel Center. She was the wife of Lyle M. Frederick, who died May 29, 2018.
Born in Tank, Luzerne Co., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Edna (Slusser) Wright. Irene worked at the Shoemakersville Post Office and the Kwik Shoppe, Shoemakersville. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. Irene enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens.
Irene is survived by a son-in-law: Robert Lee and his wife Carol; daughter-in-law: Wanda Frederick; nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by a daughter: Donna (Frederick) Lee; a son: Wayne Frederick; and her siblings, of which she was the oldest.
