Howard W. Lengel Jr., 88, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 in The Reading Hos­pital and Medical Cen­ter. He was the husband of Pearl Jean (Wehr) Lengel. They were married on Au­gust 5, 1953 and celebrated 61years of marriage. Born in Spring Twp., he was the son of the late Howard W. and Bertha M. (Field) Lengel. Howard was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartles­ville. He was employed as a truck driver for Motor Freight, and later retired from New Penn. Howard en­joyed traveling, gardening, watching NASCAR and watching professional wrestling. Surviving in addition to his wife are several nieces and nephews.He was prede­ceased by his four sisters: Irene (Lengel) Wikel, Pau­line (Lengel) Kulp, Mildred (Lengel) Fritz, and Arlene (Lengel) Levering. Services will be held Tues­day, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Leiben­sperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Lees­port, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Bern Cemetery, Bern Twp.
