Herman J. Wagner, 85, of Perry Twp., passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. He was the husband of Lawanda J. (Helwig) Wagner. They were married on June 2, 1950 and celebrated sixty-five years of marriage.
Born in Ashland, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Buery) Wagner. Herman was an auto mechanic for Bob Fisher Chevrolet, until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering in his garage, and was always fixing something.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: James W. Wagner, husband of Kathy J. (Hauck) Wagner, Leesport; and Mark A. Wagner, husband of Sandra L. (Buchert) Wagner, Greenfields; three grandchildren: Ryan, Christopher and Nicole; and two great-grandchildren: Braydon and Brynleigh. Herman is also survived by one sister: Erma (Wagner) McDonald, in Georgia.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 7:30 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Monday 6:30 to 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
