Henry N. von Spreckelsen, III, 76, of Blandon, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Rosemary (Maglio) von Spreckelsen, they were married July 31, 1965 and celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Rev. Henry N. von Spreckelsen, Jr. and Louise M. (Schrimpe) von Spreckelsen. He graduated from Union High School, Union, NJ. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Henry was self-employed as a food distributor for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Leesport.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Eric, husband of Kathy A. (Flahart) von Spreckelsen, Exeter; and a grandson: Nicholas T. von Spreckelsen. Henry is also survived by five brothers: Daniel, Paul, Kenneth, Steven, and Joel von Spreckelsen. He was predeceased by a sister: Alma R. von Spreckelsen.
Services will be held Monday, April 27, at 11:00 A.M. from The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 102 Apple Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery. Viewings will be held in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533 on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. There will be a procession from the funeral home to the church at 11:00 A.M. on Monday.
