Helen A. Driesbach, 87, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Friday,
December 1, 2017 in Exeter Greens Care and Rehabilitation Center,
Reading. She was the wife of T. Stanley Driesbach, who died April 8,
2013.
Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late Sanford
T. and Elphina A. (Koller) Smith. Helen was a member of St. John's
(Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp., where she had been a Sunday
School teacher. She was a den mother for Cub Pack 163,
Shoemakersville. Helen loved the Phillies and was always doing
crafts.
Helen is survived by her three sons: Ted S. Driesbach, husband
of Madeline (Zerebeic) Driesbach,, Hamburg; Barry L. Driesbach,
widower of Arlene M. (Weitzel) Driesbach, Hamburg; and Todd A.
Driesbach, husband of Kathy (Beutterbaugh) Driesbach, Sinking Spring;
eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by two sisters: Betty (Smith), widow of Dawson Dower,
Dauberville; and Lura (Smith), widow of Gerald Pearson, Shillington;
and two sister-in-laws: Cindy Smith, Robesonia; and Jean Smith,
Dauberville. Helen was predeceased by two brothers: Elmer Smith and
Sanford T. Smith, Jr.; and one sister: June Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from St.
John's (Gernant's) U.C.C. Memorial Hall, 12 Gernant's Church Road,
Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Gernant's Cemetery. A
visitation with the family will be held in memorial hall on Friday
10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
sent to St. John's (Gernant's) Church Memorial Fund at the above
