Helen L. Danenhower, 90, of Centre Twp., passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Warren F. Danenhower, passed away June 1, 2018.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Willis P. and Florence S. (Dietrich) Noecker. She graduated from Ontelaunee High School in 1948. Helen was a member of Salem (Belleman's) Church, Centre Twp. She worked as a secretary at the former St. Lawrence Dairy, later becoming Clover Farms Dairy from 1965-1990 until retirement. Helen served as the full time organist at Salem (Belleman's) Church from 1958-1965, then continued serving as a substitute at various churches in the area until age 80. She was the previous organist at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., for 23 years. Helen was a member of the former Blue Mountain Chapter #443 Order of Eastern Star for more than 60 years, and the Central Berks Lions Club, where she played organ as well for both organizations. She was a member of Central Berks Fire Co., and Beneficial Association and NARVRE. Helen will always be remembered for enjoying socializing in her neighborhood.
She is survived by two daughters: Nancy L. (Danenhower) wife of Richard Reppert, Maidencreek Twp., and Suzanne M. Danenhower, Centre Twp; and four grandchildren: Chris, Peter, Angie, and Tommy; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings: Carl and Charles.
