Helen F. Bower, 85, of New Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in the residence of her daughter with whom she resided. She was the wife of Sterling C. Bower, Sr., who died February 24, 2011.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John Rzepiela and Sophie (Stackno) Pflugler. Helen worked for the Hamburg Broom Works, Bender's Bakery, Dollar General, and Ames, all of Hamburg; and Country Cupboard, Lenhartsville. Sthe was a member of St. Paul's (Smoke) Lutheran Church, Windsor Twp.

Helen is survived by her children: Cynthia A. (Bower), wife of Robert L. Pyle, Lenhartsville; Sterling C. "Butch" Bower, Jr., husband of Carolyn K. (Schlegel) Bower, Windsor Twp.; Sandra J. (Bower), wife of Jerry L. Rumbel, New Ringgold; and Ann Marie (Bower), wife of Roger D. Miller, Hamburg; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Patricia (Pflugler) Glemba, Charlotte, North Carolina. Helen was predeceased by her siblings: "Butch" and John Rzepiela; Frankie and Mickey Pflugler; and Sophie (Rzepiela) Kiefer.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery, Windsor Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
