Harvey E. Bachert, Jr., 76, of Upper Bern Twp., passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of Betty J. (Miller) Coldren, Delaware; and the late Harvey E. Bachert, Sr. Harvey was a 1965 graduate of Hamburg High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. While in high school, he was a member of the 1963 Berks County State Legion Baseball Championship Team.. He was a teacher for the Schuylkill Valley School District; where he coached the basketball team. Harvey was named Coach of the Year for 1975-1976. He was a member of the Keystone Social Club and the Shartlesville Fire Company.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister: Anne L. (Bachert) Rubright, wife of Richard, Sinking Spring; half-brother: Danny L. Coldren, Delaware; and step-brother: Garry L. Coldren, husband of Karen, Chester Springs.
