Harry L. Adam, Jr., 71, of Edenburg, Windsor Twp., died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center, shortly after arrival. He was the husband of Roberta Marie (Potteiger) Adam. They were married on February 21, 1993 and would have celebrated 20 years of marriage. Harry was predeceased by his first wife, Iris M. (Balthaser) Adam.
Born in Edenburg, he was the son of Erma I. (Peiffer) Adam, Edenburg; and the late Harry L. Adam, Sr. and Dorothie A. (Zeidler) Adam. He was a 1959 graduate of Hamburg High School. Harry was a self-employed general contractor, owning and operating Adam's Paint and Repair. He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Wyomissing. He was a member of Interanational Remodeler's Association of America. Harry was a volunteer for Word of Life International Ministries, assisting with remodeling projects in Germany, Austria, and England, including remodeling a castle in Germany.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two daughters: Joy N. (Adam), wife of Mark S. Burr, Edenburg; and Kathy O. Adam, Clinton, Michigan; one son: Nathan Dunleavy, husband of Tami L. (Garner) Dunleavy, Shartlesville; and four grandchildren: Kristin M. Burr; Kelley E. Burr; Raynee A. Dunleavy; and Scottie N. Dunleavy. He is also survived by one brother: Alvin R. Adam, West Hamburg; and four sisters: Charlotte (Adam) wife of Lawrence Sunday, Windsor Twp.; Marilyn (Adam), wife of Mark Schropp Sr., Schuylkill Haven; Eileen (Adam), wife of Arnold Killian, Wickliffe, Ohio; and Karen (Adam), wife of Dale Holzman, Newmanstown. Harry was predeceased by a granddaughter: Emily Mae Dunleavy.
Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery, Centre Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:00 to 11:00 am.
