Gloria G. Kauffman, 92, formerly of Tilden Twp., a resident at Phoebe Berks, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of the late RIchard C. Michael, died October 24, 1981; and the late Kenneth W. Kauffman, died February 15, 2005.

Born in Bernville, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Evelyn (Steinmetz) Groff. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1951; and later from Schoemans Beauty School, Pottsville. Gloria owned and operated Gloria Michael's Beauty Shop, Tilden Twp., for 42 years before retiring. She was a member of Zion (Blue Mountain) United Church of Christ, Strausstown. She had been a previous member of Consistory at Frieden's Church, Shartlesville; and the Shoemakersville Fire Company. She enjoyed family time; especially at picnics, parties, and reunions. She enjoyed doing ceramics, and traveled to almost all 50 states and overseas.

She is survived by two step-sons: Keith A. Kauffman, husband of Carol A., Ephrata, and Kevin M. Kauffman, husband of Karen R., Muhlenberg Twp.; a god-son: Herman A. Danenhower, husband of Christine L., Kutztown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers: Ralph, Robert, and Carl Groff; and her sisters: Verna (Groff) Reimert, and Joyce (Groff) Peters. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Frieden's Cemetery, Shartlesville. Viewings will be held Wednesday, November 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
