Glenn M. Franklin, 71, of Centre Twp., died Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Ulrich) Franklin, to whom he was married for 50 years. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Helen (Haag) Franklin. He was U.S. Marine Corp veteran. Glenn worked in shipping and receiving for Troutman Industry, West Lawn. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Berks County Anglers. Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter: Dawn E. (Franklin) Amsbaugh, Leesport; two sons: Greg A. Franklin, Whitehall; and Mark G., husband of Maryanne (Billig) Franklin, Mohrsville; three grandsons: Derek M. Amsbaugh; and Matthew M. and Maxx M. Franklin; and three great-grandchildren: Dominic E., Colton M., and Jordyn L. Amsbaugh. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
