Gertrude R. Biebel, "Trudy," 93, of Hamburg, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 in Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Biebel, Sr., died February 18, 2003.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary R. (McCracken) Madden. She worked assembling electronics for Tecknitrol, Philadelphia for a few years; and later worked as a sales associate for Strawbridge & Clothier, Philadelphia retiring in March of 1993. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Twp.
She is survived by a son: Joseph M. Biebel, Jr., husband of Rosana, Audubon; a daughter: Ellen M. (Biebel) Mocarsky, companion of Michael Burke; Breinigsville; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son: Michael J. Biebel; her brothers: John and George Madden; and her sisters: Margaret (Madden) Havens, Agnes (Madden) Southrey, Theresa (Madden) Bonewicz, Anne (Madden) DeSanto, Mary (Madden) Cromley, and Helen Madden.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:00 am from Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish (Lower Church), 196 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403. Private burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia will be at the convenience of the family. A visitation with the family will be held Thursday, from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the lower church.
