George D. Vize, Jr., 72, of Bern Twp., passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in his residence. He was the husband of Jacquelyn I. (Leahy) Vize. They were married on July 9, 1983 and celebrated forty-three years of marriage.
Born in Blandon, he was the son of the late George D., Sr. and Eleanor M. (Betterly) Vize. George was a maintenance mechanic at Exide for 32 years. He also worked for Eastern Rigging and Big H Farms. George was a member of the Alsace Manor Pool team. He enjoyed dirt track racing; and worked on the DeSantis racing team, Tyler Fronina's race team and Alex Yankowski's race team. George was a jokester and could always make people laugh. He would drop anything to help someone in need. George enjoyed hanging out with his dogs: Cody, Oliver, Moe and Gerard.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Jason Vize, Christopher Vize, Denise Stewart and Kimberly Rothermel, wife of Zachary Rothermel; and six grandchildren: Kylie Vize, Jasynda Vize, Aidrick Vize, Alethea Vize, Sarina Hale and Cheyenne Mathies. George is also survived by his siblings: Jamie Vize and Donna Wasik. He was predeceased by his sister: Edwina Moyer. George was very close to his nieces: Paige Forry and Kaitlyn Dracha who helped to care for him.
