Obituary

George M. Marcincin, 38, of Orwigsburg, passed away tragically on Monday, April 12, 2021. He was the husband of Shelia C. (Paine) Marcincin. They were married on November 16, 2013 and celebrated seven years of marriage. Born in West Reading, he was the son of George F. and Mary A. (Stoudt) Marcincin, Shoemakersville. He was a 2001 graduate of Fleetwood High School. George was a U.S. Army 101st Airborne veteran serving two tours in Iraq; one with the Army in which he was enlisted from 2001-2005; and the other with the Army National Guard enlisted 2008-2009. George worked for the Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He cared deeply for the residents and his Orwigsburg Center family. George enjoyed collecting and playing Magic The Gathering; and collecting Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel items. He would take his kids to flea markets and yard sales looking for these treasurers. George would go to Alchemist's Cove Games and Comics in Schuylkill Haven every Saturday. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and family; and snuggling and watching movies with his wife Shelia. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are four children: Teresa L. (14), Harley L. (6), Jaicen W. (5), and Mervin T. (3). George is also survived by his brother: Kyle M. Marcincin, and his wife Kaitlyn, Mertztown; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Richard W. and Sue A. Paine, Hamburg. He will be missed by his cat: Wicket; and dog: Jar Jar Binks. Services will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing for will be held in the funeral home on Monday 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Tuesday 8:30 to 9:30 am. Those attending are encouraged to come as you are and dress casually as George would want you to.
