Obituary

Gene B. Kulp, 83, formerly of Virginville, a resident of Topton Lutheran Home, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 in Topton Lutheran Home. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Ebanofsky) Kulp. They were married January 10, 1981 and celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Born in Bernville, he was the son of the late Raymond H. and Jenny E. (Swenson) Kulp. He graduated from Kutztown High School. Gene worked as a machinist at Rockwell International, later working as a quality control manager at Zackerias Machine until retirement. Gene had spent a few years as a Fleetwood Police Officer in the mid-70s. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building his own guns, reloading ammunition, and was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He was a true outdoorsman. Gene was a member of Perry Rod and Gun Club, and Virginville Fire Company. He was a lover of animals, especially his dogs. He also enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: Darron K. Kulp, companion of Julie L. Miller, Kutztown; a daughter: Stephanie A. (Kulp) Houck, wife of Randall L., Boyertown; three grandchildren: Cody Madeira, Kyle Madeira, and Sophia Kulp. He was predeceased by a brother: Raymond L. Kulp, and a sister: Laura K. (Kulp) Seip.
