Gayle J. Seelig, 82, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away in her residence on Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was the wife of Arthur F. Seelig, Jr., who died on October 11, 2013. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Percy P. and Helen M. (Griscom) Sands. She was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School. Gayle was a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and playing Solitaire. Gayle is survived by her children: Ronald A. Seelig, and his wife Carryll, Muhlenberg Twp.; Susan L. (Seelig), widow of Richard W. Hoch, Jr., Leesport; and Ninette L. Seelig, Muhlenberg Twp.; five grandchildren: Alycia Seelig, Derrick Hoch, Lyndsey Seelig, Branndon Hoch and Karyssa Hoch; and two great-grandchildren: Kennedy Seelig and Madeline Seidel. She is also survived by one sister: Elizabeth Gruber, in Delaware. Gayle will be missed by her faithful companion: Fluffy. She was predeceased by a grandson: Jarrod Seelig; and two sisters: Lucy Guenveur and Marion Miller. Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
