Gayle A. Laity, 78, of Leesport, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Lance H. Laity, who died October 10, 2014.

Born in Chicago Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Richard N. and DeLores M. (Rice) Gianpaolo. Gayle was a 1966 graduate of Queen of Peace High School, Burbank, Illinois. She worked as a central sterilization technician for twenty-three years at the Reading Hospital, retiring in August 2015. Gayle was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Gayle is survived by her sons: Jeffrey A. Laity, Leesport; Gary R. Laity, Reading; and Kenneth J. Laity, husband of Amanda L. (Gibson) Laity, Shillington; three grandchildren: Michael R. Laity, Sarah K. (Laity) Phillips, and Payton J. Laity; and three great-grandchildren: Gavin M. Laity, Trace C. Phillips, and Reagan G. Laity. She is also survived by one brother: Grady A. Gianpaolo, Long Beach, CA. She was predeceased by a brother: Gary Gianpaolo.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
