Gary L. Unterkofler, 58, of Centre Twp., died Friday, December 20, 2013 in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Rosemarie J. (Luckenbill) Unterkofler. They were married on September 29, 1979 and celebrated thirty-four years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Mildred L. (Kreider) Unterkofler. He was a 1973 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. Gary was a self-employed crop farmer in Centre Twp. He enjoyed hunting and archery. Gary was a member of Lenhartsville Fish and Game Association; a life member of Shartlesville Fish and Game Association; and a member of Central Berks Fire Company and beneficial association, Centerport. Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Justin E. Unterkofler, Centre Twp.; one daughter: Melissa A. Unterkofler, fiance of Geoffrey Griffiths, Kutztown; and two sisters: Janet, wife of Forest Machmer, and Karen, wife of Michael Harle, both of Centre Twp. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday 9:30 to 11:00 am.
