Gary D. Plummer, 77, of Maidencreek Township, died July 3rd, 2024 in his home in Maidencreek Township. He was married to the love of his life, Joan Carol (Griffith) Plummer, for 56 years.

Born October 3, 1946, in Johnstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl and Mary Katherine (Repp) Plummer.

Survived by wife, Joan, daughter of the late, Joseph S. and Elizabeth (Meyers) Griffith, Johnstown; two wonderful daughters: Julie Elizabeth (Plummer) Pelker, Leesport; and Emily Kathryn (Plummer) Charlebois, married to Jeffery Charlebois, Maidencreek Township; and four grandchildren who made his life special: Keira Elizabeth Pelker, 20; Weston David Pelker, 18; Colton Carl Charlebois, 15; and Avaleen Elizabeth Charlebois, 8.

Gary was a writer and editor who spent his career in journalism and corporate communications, with employment at The Tribune-Democrat, Johnstown, Pa; The GPU System; FirstEnergy; and PGM Interconnection. He was a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School, Johnstown, and Washington and Jefferson College and The University of Maryland.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
