Garth A. Yoder, 63, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Herman) Yoder. They were married on January 11, 2013 and celebrated four years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Daniel A. and Fay B. (Reich) Yoder. Garth was a 1972 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. He worked for forty-three years as a machinist for Brush Wellman, now Materion Corporation, Perry Twp., until his retirement. Garth was a member of Steins Hollow Beagle Club and Dutchman's Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Joshua G. Yoder, Hegins; and Lacy B. Yoder, Las Vegas, Nevada; step-daughter: Alesia R. Brugger, Pine Grove; grandchildren: Ava and Korvin; and step-granddaughters: Hailey and Lily. Garth is also survived by two sisters: Faylene Y. (Yoder), wife of James E. Beltz, Tilden Twp.; and Danielle Y. (Yoder), wife of Michael T. Lanagan, State College. He was predeceased by a brother: Gary L. Yoder.
A memorial service with a time of sharing will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home Saturday 9:30 to 11:00 am.
