Frieda M. Fox, 83, formerly of Shoemakersville, a resident at Fairlane Gardens, Exeter, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 in Fairlane Gardens. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Fox, died February 8, 2008.

Born in Longswamp Twp., she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Keim) Benjamin. She graduated from Brandywine High School in 1959. She was a member of The Bridge Church, Hamburg. Frieda spent many years taking care of people with special needs while she worked for Concern Foster Care, Fleetwood for 21 years, before retiring. Prior to that, she had worked for Berks County Intermediate Unit as a head start teacher. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She was talented with ceramics, and was fluent in 2 languages.

She is survived by three sons: Juan F. Hernandez, Delaware, Antony M. Hernandez, Allentown, and Rafael J. Hernandez, Hellertown; a daughter: Wanda M. Wagaman, New Tripoli; eight grandchildren; and two brothers: Raymond and George Benjamin. She was predeceased by her other siblings.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
