Franklin Jack Spohn, 71, of Fleetwood, passed away in his residence on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 after a 15-year lengthy illness. He married the love of his life, Nancy Lou (Koller) Spohn, on August 12, 1995; celebrating nineteen years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Franklin W. and Bessie A. (Kline) Spohn. Jack was a 1962 graduate of Muhlenberg High School; and received a degree in criminal justice from Alvernia College. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. Jack worked as a steel cleaner for Carpenter Technology, Reading, until his retirement. He was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp. Jack was an avid New York Yankees fan; and enjoyed Walt Disney World. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
Surviving in addition to his wife Nancy Lou are two sons: Christopher J. Spohn, and his wife Lori, Muhlenberg Twp.; and Chad A. Spohn, Alsace Twp.; one daughter: Shannon D., wife of Eric Furst, Kutztown; and two grandchildren: Dalton and Samantha.
Services will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery, Ontelaunee Twp.
