Franklin J. Kershner, 80, of Bern Twp., passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, with his second cousing, Nancy by his side.

Born in Muhlenberg Twp., he was the son of the late William and Bertha (Zettlemoyer) Kershner. Franklin worked at the Fleetwood Tannery for many years; and previously was employed by various knitting mills in the area, working in their cutting rooms. He loved his dog, Crystal. He also enjoyed cars, and motorcycles.

He is survived by his second cousin: Nancy A. (Spatz) Schreffler, wife of Michael W., Mohrsville, their children: Dana M. Schreffler, husband of Kristen, and their son: Oliver; and Samuel R. Schreffler, fiance of Isabella Freeman; he is also survived by other cousins. He was predeceased by a brother: William Kershner; and a sister: Esther (Kershner) Hudson.
