Francis A. Nave, "Frank", 79, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 in the Laurel Center. He was the husband of Cherelyn D. Nave. They were married on May 26, 1980 and celebrated forty-three years of marriage.
Born in Darby, Delaware County, he was the son of the late Paul, Sr.; and Pauline (Walsh) Nave. Frank was a 1962 graduate of Hamburg High School; and attended college in Arizona. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Sinking Spring. Frank was a member of the Reading Liederkranz; Vaux Lodge #406 F.&A.M., Hamburg; Gouglersville Fire Company; and Shartlesville Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, horseback riding, bowling, and getting together once a month for brunch with his classmates. He especially adored his grandchildren Matt and Madison; and will be missed by his chocolate lab Zuli and cocker spaniel Nico.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his step-children: Jeffrey S. Sawyer, Shartlesville; Jacquelyn M. (Sawyer), wife of Mike Kauffman, Wyomissing; and Thomas S. Sawyer, fiance of Christine Davis, Baysee, Virginia; his two children; and three grandchildren: Matthew and Madison Kauffman; and Jamie Jo Yost. Frank was predeceased by his siblings: Paul Nave, Jr.; and Grace V. Reed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 am from St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19608. A viewing will be held in Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear) on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home for arrival at the church for mass. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamburg. Memorial contributions may be sent to the NRA or Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangement.
