Francis L. Dolny, "Frank", 69, of Shoemakersville, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Francis L. Dolny, Sr., and Caroline M. (Famous) Dolny Plavcan. He was a graduate of Boyertown High School, and attended Pennsylvania State University for two years. Frank was a manager for Berks Medical Equipment until his retirement. He was a member of the Hamburg Game Association; Loyal Order of Moose #523, Hamburg; Shoemakersville and Leesport Fire Companies; and Kutztown Rod and Gun Club. Frank enjoyed going to flea markets; collecting coins and baseball cards; and gardening. Frank is survived by his wife: Lucy J. (Lieb) Dolny, Topton; two sons: Matthew C. Dolny and Marcus V. Dolny, both of Topton; one daughter: Christina M. Dolny, fiancé of Ricky Dey, Oley Twp.; six grandchildren: Alysha, Donavan, Patrick, Christian, Joshua, and Leo; his companion: Donna M. Oster, Shoemakersville, and with whom he resided; and two brothers: David Plavcan, and his wife Andee, Oley; and Victor Plavcan, Reading. He was predeceased by a brother: Michael Dolny. An Irish Wake in Celebration of Frank's life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at the Leesport Fire Company Banquet Hall, 18 East Wall Street, Leesport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140, in memory of Francis L. Dolny.
