Obituary

Frances M. Bower, 93, formerly of Perry Twp., died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown, where she resided since April 2006. Her husband, Francis D. Bower, died February 7, 1973.
Born in Fleetwood, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Susan (Heiter) Sproesser. She worked as an examiner for Miller Underwear Company, Shoemakersville. She last worked for ten years for Griesemer's Pharmacy, Shoemakersville, until retiring. Frances was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Twp. She was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens where she was the Reporter and a member of their Boomba Band. She was a former member of the Hamburg Lions Club and Women of the Moose. She volunteered at Topton Lutheran Home and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels at the Hamburg Encore Center. Frances enjoyed painting, drawing, writing poetry and gardening.
She is survived by one son: Thomas W. Ressler, and his wife Gail, Adamstown; one daughter: Geraldine M. (Ressler), wife of Willard W. Kramer, Wernersville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one sister: Mary (Sproesser), wife of Lee Adam, Hamburg.
Services will be on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Friday 9:30 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 354 Zion's Church Road, Shoemakersville, PA 19555.
