Floyd H. Stauffer, 89, of Greenwich Twp., passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 in his residence. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Burgess) Stauffer. They were married August 30, 1957 and celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Born in Hummelstown, he was the son of the late Carroll and Dorothy (Floyd) Stauffer. he graduated from Hummelstown High School and later received a master's degree in elementary education. Floyd worked at Union Deposit Elementary School and then Kutztown University where he supervised Student Teachers in Elementary Education from 1966 to 1995. He was a former president of Association of Pennsylvania State College & University Faculties (Apscuf). He enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge, Poker, and Pinochle. He also enjoyed basketball and hiking in the woods.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Kevin J. Stauffer, husband of Susan (Kauffman), Greenwich Twp., and Glyn J. Stauffer, husband of Chrissie (Cunnius), Kutztown; three daughters: Carolyn A. (Stauffer) Fink, wife of Michael, Edenburg, Roslyn A. Stauffer, widow of Craig Ebert, Greenwich Twp., and Evelyn A. (Stauffer) Gray, wife of Randy, Hamburg; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother: John C. Stauffer.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
