Evelyn A. Kreider, 88, of Shillington, died Friday, February 21, 2014 in the Mifflin Center, Shillington. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Kreider. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary S. (Beidler) Sweigart. Evelyn was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School. She worked for knitting mills in the area, Talbot's and Boscov's Distribution Center. Evelyn attended West Wyomissing Chapel. She enjoyed going out to eat and shopping. Evelyn is survived by one son: Dennis L. Parr, and his wife Ruth Ann (White) Parr, Shillington; three step-daughters: Sheila, Susan, and Marion; three grandchildren: Christopher Parr, and his wife Donna; Michael Parr, and his wife Nicole; and Julie (Parr) Zaorski, and her husband Paul; and five great-grandchildren: Ava and Lily Parr; Melaina and Jacob Zaorski; and Audrey Leese. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by three brothers: Marvin, Forrest and Charles Sweigart; and two sisters: Myrle Lewars and Helen Nein. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
