Evelyn G. Czimcharo, "Cookie", 75, of Bern Twp., passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Reading Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Czimcharo.

Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Evelyn I. (Vanderveer) Gralewski. Evelyn worked as a chocolatier for R,M. Palmer Company. She attended Zion's Church, Windsor Castle. Evelyn loved working on the family farm, gardening, going to the beach and crabbing. She also enjoyed knitting, scrapbooking and genealogy. Evelyn dedicated her whole life to her kids, grandkids, parents and sisters. Her grandchildrens' friends became like family to her and many referred to her as "grandma."

Evelyn is survived by her children: Jim J. Czimcharo, husband of Kathy, Reading; Brandy A. (Czimcharo), wife of David Pyne, Bern Twp., and with whom she resided; Brad J. Czimcharo, Minersville; and Roxanne (Czimcharo), wife of Keith Porter, Temple; fifteen grandchildren: Brittany (Dan), Eric, Sara, Shane, Xavier, Tristan, Shawn, Keanna, Faith, Travis, Lacy, Erica, Tyrone Jr. (Jeishaly), Justin, and Sidney; and seven great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Hannah, Taliyah, Melody, Mikai, Myles and Nayeli. She is also survived by four sisters: Betty Pischel, Janet Dominique, Patty Gralewski, and Irene (Witt), wife of Skip Blankenbiller.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Zion's Church, 770 Zion's Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held in the church Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 am.
