Esther A. Racine, 98, of Perry Twp., passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Berks Heim. She was the wife of Paul M. Racine, who died February 19, 1972. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and May E. (Moyer) Machemer. Esther was a graduate of Perry High School. She worked as a sewing machine operator for the Crown Knitting Mill. She had also worked at the beryllium plant during World War II. Esther was a member of the former St. Timothy's Church, Mohrsville. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Esther is survived by her two grandsons: Tim A. Racine, husband of Marcy A. (Wagner) Racine, Hamburg; and Brian S. Potter-Racine, husband of Matt S. Potter-Racine, St. Petersburg, FL; two great-grandchildren: Madison and Connor; and daughter-in-law: Linda M. (Hepner) Racine, Reading. She was predeceased by her son: Philip G. Racine, who died November 8, 2008. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Perry Twp.
