Eric J. Schell, 54, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026 in his residence.

Born in Hazleton, he was the loving son of Marie E. (Hoffman) Schell Kamp, companion of Tom VanDuren, Lenhartsville; and the late Walter L. Schell. He was preceded in death by his brother: Bruce E. Schell.

Eric attended Hamburg Area Schools. He was last employed at Schuylkill Tree and Landscape, Schuylkill Haven.

Eric was a devoted son and brother. In addition to his mother, Eric is survived by two brothers: Cory A. Schell, and his wife Deb, of Minersville; and Dale M. Schell, and his significant other Lisa Leiby, of Shoemakersville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eric enjoyed playing and collecting guitars, along with other musical instruments and playing his weekend "porch jams" as he called it.

He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He had a gift for making you feel welcomed and loved. Eric was truly loved by his family and friends and will be sadly miss by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 10:00 am at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, June 27 from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
