Emily A. Shuman, 92, formerly of Shoemakersville, of Tilden Twp., passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Shuman, Sr., died February 28, 2021.

Born in Centre Twp., she was the daughter of the late Irvin D. and Carrie M. (Schappell) Yeager. She worked as a supervisor at Mayfair Industries, Shoemakersville for 40+ years, until retirement. She was a member of St. Luke's Church, Shoemakersville. She was a 50 years member of Eastern Star; loved the Philadelphia Phillies, and enjoyed going to casinos and playing cards.

She is survived by a son: Donald R. Shuman, Jr., husband of Sherry, Tilden Twp.; a daughter: Donna L. (Althouse), wife of Leon Remp, Spring Twp.; 8 grandchildren:Joseph Remp, husband of Donna; Jessica (Remp), wife of Stephen Reznick; Jaime (Remp), wife of Brian Rogers; Johnathan Remp, husband of Christin; Jacob Remp; Julianna Remp; Skylar Shuman and Jenna Shuman; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her granddogs: Onyx and Stormie. She was predeceased by a brother: Jacob Yeager; and a sister: Edna (Yeager) Kissinger.

Private burial with the family was held in Maidencreek Cemetery. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Leesport is in charge of arrangements.
