Elsie J. Rothenberger, 92, formerly of Leesport, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 in the Laurel Center. She was predeceased by her husbands: Samuel A. Buckley and Lee L. Rothenberger.

Born in Fleetwood, she was the daughter of the late Elwood D. and Viola G. (Oswald) Reis. She worked as a cleaning lady for twenty-two and a half years at the M&T Bank. Elsie was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. She was also a member of the Shoemakersville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Elsie enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and was an avid Phillies fan.

Elsie is survived by her children: Samuel A. Buckley, husband of Julie, Reading; Michael H. Adams, husband of Cynthia, Hamburg; and Barry D. Adams, companion of Terri George, Hamburg; five grandchildren: Dustin T. Adams, Amber L. Adams, Adam C. Buckley, Derrike T. Buckley, and Brock M. Adams; and three great-grandchildren: Jalyssa Roberts, Damion Adams and Dilynn Adams. She was predeceased by two sisters: Betty Lou Dietrich and Lillian Adams.
