Elsie Ann Boone, 76, of Reading, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Wirt D. and Kathryn E. (Wixon) Brown. She worked in management for forty years for Weis Markets, Store #34, 5th Street Highway, until retiring in 2004. Elsie enjoyed bingo, casinos, cooking, going to Body Zone, entertaining and being with her friends and family. She was a member of West Reading, Shoemakersville, Leesport, Lincoln Park and Gouglersville Fire Companies. She especially enjoyed going to the shrimp nights at the Shoemakersville Fire Company. Elsie is survived by her children: Kathleen A. Sunday, companion of Robert H. Scagnelli, Muhlenberg Twp.; Donald S. Sunday, II, and his wife Heidi L. (Hassler) Sunday, Adamstown; and Glenn A. Sunday, and his wife Shannon L. (Pflueger) Sunday, Shoemakersville; two granddaughters: Whitney (Sunday), wife of Matt Holley; and Katie Jo Sunday, fiance of Kathleen Paley; and one great-granddaughter: Charlotte. She is also survived by one brother: Kerry D. Brown, widower of Elizabeth Brown; and one sister: Kareen E. (Brown), widow of William Smith, Shoemakersville.
