Ella M. (Leiby) Wessner, 83, of Windsor Twp., died Thursday, May 29, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Lester A. Wessner. They were married on June 26, 1948 and celebrated 65 years of marriage. Born in Windsor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Jacob G. and Marion (Strausser) Leiby. Ella was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Twp., where she enjoyed being involved and singing on the choir. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and taking care of her family. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Ruth A. (Wessner) Adam, Perry Twp., and Ella May (Wessner) Bennethum, Myerstown; two sons: Ernest L. Wessner, Windsor Twp., and Mark N. Wessner husband of Louann L. (Hoch) Wessner, Windsor Twp; and ten grandchildren: Dan, Larry, Diane, Darryl, Tracy, Jodie, Kimberly, Kristi, Jennifer, and Bradley. Ella is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; one brother: Bruce Leiby, Windsor Twp.; and two sisters: Elaine (Leiby) Weniger, California., and Fern (Leiby) Adam, Windsor Twp. Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 354 Zion's Church Rd., Shoemakersville, PA 19555. Burial will follow in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Tuesday from 12 noon until 1:00 PM.
