Elizabeth J. Tinley, 95, of Centre Twp., passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp. She was the wife of Thomas G. Tinley. They were married on February 8, 1965 and celebrated fifty-six years of marriage. Born in Leesport, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ellen (Kaufman) Graeff. Elizabeth was a graduate of Ontelaunee High School and Reading Business School. She worked as a typist in Washington, D.C. during World War II, and worked for the Navy Department. Elizabeth also worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Reading until her retirement. She was a member of St. John's (Gernant's) Church, Ontelaunee Twp. Elizabeth was a member of the Shoemakersville Senior Citizens. She especially enjoyed going to the shore. Surviving in addition to her husband are two nieces: Ella Zimmerman, Laureldale; and Sandy Arbuckle, Delaware; and a cousin: Richard Kaufman. Elizabeth was predeceased by a brother: Francis K. Graeff. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in Leesport Cemetery.
