Elizabeth R. Sanders, 87, of Greenwich Twp., and formerly of Albany Twp., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Kutztown Manor where she was for two weeks. She was the wife of Ray F. Sanders, who died on December 24, 2001. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late David and Martha (Beaver) Miller. Elizabeth was a graduate of Fleetwood High School. She worked for more than twenty years for the Fleetwood Shirt Company and last worked part-time for the Windsor Press, Hamburg. Elizabeth was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville. She was also a member of the Kutztown Gun Club, Kempton Fire Company, and the Kempton Gun Club. Elizabeth loved bingo and making puzzles. She is survived by three daughters: Joanne E. (Sanders), wife of Dennis L. Houptley, Greenwich Twp., and with whom she last resided; Diane L. (Sanders), wife of Fred M. Fella, Ontelaunee Twp.; and Judith A. Sanders, wife of Ray Geist, Tioga Co.; seven grandchildren: Lori, Jarrod, Jeremy, Elizabeth, Kris, Adam, and Janine; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by one brother: Richard Miller, Mertztown; and one sister: Dorothy (Miller) Madeira, Kutztown. She will be missed by her dog: Brandi. Elizabeth was predeceased by a son: Robert R. Sanders, who died February 2, 2012. Services will held on Tuesday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery of Dryville.
