Elizabeth A. "Betty" Seidel, 93, of Hamburg, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 in Orwigsburg Center, where she was a resident for a short time. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Seidel died July 12, 1997.

Born in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Dora (Saluta) Kozlosky. Betty was the longtime owner of the former Jake's Place, Hamburg. Betty and her husband took over the family business in 1968, and after he passed, she operated it with her son until 2018, when she retired. Betty was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Twp. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was always a hard worker.

She is survived by a daughter: Debra A. Seidel, Hamburg; a son: John R. Seidel, husband of Carla, East Brunswick Twp.; three grandchildren: Justin, and Jared Uberti and Caitlyn Seidel; and a great-granddaughter: Lilah Uberti. She was predeceased by two sons: Robert, and Richard J. Seidel; and her siblings: Benjamin, Leonard, Alexander, Helen, Violet, and Irene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11:00 am from St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamburg. A visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church.
