Elizabeth A. "Betty" Berk, 76, of Yoder Heights, Tilden Twp., died Sunday, September 16, 2012 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband Homer H. Berk, who died May 18, 2012. They were married on July 31, 1954 and celebrated 57 years of marriage. Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Laura A. (Mitchell) Bausher. Betty worked as a custodian for thirty years at Hamburg Center, Hamburg. She attended Salem United Methodist Church, Shoemakersville. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Union Fire Co. No. 1 of Hamburg. Surviving are two sons: Michael R. Berk, Tilden Twp.; and Bryan K., husband of Dawn (Krause) Berk, Virginville; one daughter: Cynthia A. (Berk), wife of Gregory J. Dissinger, Lenhartsville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by two sons: Gary L. Berk and Jeffrey B. Berk; one grandson: Austin L. Berk; and one brother: Barry G. Bausher. Services will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will be in St. Paul's (Smoke) Cemetery, Windsor Twp.
